Law on Land in Vietnam No. 45/2013/QH13 dated November 29, 2013, took effect on July 01, 2014 (replaced the Law on Land No. 13/2003/QH11 dated November 26, 2003 and Resolution No. 49/2013/QH13 dated June 21, 2013).

Law on Land in Vietnam 

Some noticeable provisions are:

Land users;

Principles of land use;

Persons who are assigned management over land for which they shall be responsible before state;

The State shall decide on land prices, administrative maps, land lease, land recovery for national defense or security purpose, enforcement of land recovery decisions, compensation for land when the State recovers residential land, principles of support upon land recovery by the State and other new provisions.
